We have come a long way as a people while looking back. A lot of shared interests, visions, sacrifices and commitments all for the good of our dear state, Anambra. I must commend the vision and doggedness of our founding fathers as well as the steadfastness of Ndi Anambra, especially in the quest for a just, better and egalitarian society.

 

It is worthy of note that both home and diasporan communities, individuals and government alike have played major roles in various degree of achievements recorded over the years. It cannot be taken away from us because we are enterprising, hardworking, law abiding and peace loving people. We have so much potentials as a people but more needs to be done.

As we celebrate our 30 years of existence as a state, I urge all to continue to be patriotic and persistent in making sacrifices for the promotion of our common good and betterment of our dear state.

It is time to launch Anambra state into the next level of good governance, productivity, transparency and prosperity. A new phase where we will explore the windows in improved infrastructure, better security, social welfare, poverty alleviation, accessible healthcare, affordable and quality education amongst other basic amenities. These accomplishments will usher our state into an enviable height amongst the comity of states.

As the light of the nation, let’s aspire to shine brighter. It is “forward ever, doing it together” for a near perfect statehood!
