COMPTROLLER KAMAL MOHAMMED APPOINTED AS BOARD CHAIRMAN OF NIGERIA CUSTOMS BROADCASTING NETWORK LIMITED
In a strategic move aimed at bolstering the Nigeria Customs Service’s media outreach, Comptroller-General Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR has appointed Comptroller Kamal Mohammed as the Board Chairman of the Nigeria Customs Broadcasting Network (NCBN) Limited. The announcement came during the inauguration of four companies, including NCBN, owned by the Nigeria Customs Service at the Customs Headquarters in Abuja.
NCBN serves as a pivotal broadcasting institution under the Nigeria Customs Service, disseminating crucial information about the Service through various media platforms, both traditional and digital.
Comptroller Kamal Mohammed’s appointment was formally approved and announced by CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR. Emphasizing the significance of this step, CGC Adeniyi highlighted the commitment of the Customs’ Management Team towards fostering a dynamic Customs administration through effective media representation, aiming to promote the Service’s activities and mandates.
Addressing Comptroller Kamal Mohammed, the Comptroller-General emphasized, “I wish to charge you and your members further to ensure the effective management of this company and be dogged in the discharge of your duties and responsibilities.”
The newly constituted board includes Esther James Komo as Secretary, CSC Abdullahi Maiwada as a Member, and two directors from the Ministry of Finance Incorporated: Udechukwu Osakwe and Sabo Muhammad.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the formal launch of NCBN alongside Customs Service Technical & Hanger Services Limited, Nigeria Customs Service Training & Hotels Limited, and Nigeria Customs Service Hospital Limited, signifying a concerted effort by the Nigeria Customs Service to bolster its operational framework and diversify its service provisions.
