The allottees and leasers of Lagos State Government scheme in Igamnu, Ijora and Apapa Industrial Scheme has sent save our soul to Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu.

This followed a threat, harassment and indimidation from Ojora Chieftaincy family and the council directong them to vacate or contact the family for a settlement.

This is contained in a threat letter send to them via a public notice informing of their intentions to send them away from the property.

Those who spoke with newsmen in Lagos complained that the Ojora Chieftaincy Family and Council has been issued another fresh threat to them over their property that was allocated to them by the government several years ago.

The leasers and allottees of government property is urging state government to intervene to guarantee peace and tranquility saying that they are law abiding people that would love the governor to call the council to order for mutual benefits.

They claimed that they wake to discover several public notices and that of write-up on their walls claiming that possession has been taken following a court judgements.

In one of the notices posted on the wall and sighted by our correspondent written LD/562/1972 possession taken by the court order with a public notice.

In a letter made available to newsmen claimed that the possession has been taken on their property by court order and any further information, the affected defaulters should contact the ojora Palace at no 16 Ojora Street, Ijora Oloba Lagos.

The public notice posted on the entrance of the property indicated that ” public notice with heading “To all defaulters tenants and occupiers on Ojora Royal Family and council adjudged landed property pursuant to the several court judgements”.

The leasers and allottes are appealing to Lagos State Government to intervene on the matter as they claimed that they have been threatened, intimidated, harassed and embarrassed by the thugs and criminals backed by some unscrupulous police sponsored by the notorious Ojora Royal Family and want Governor Babajide Sanwoolu to call the Ojora Royal Family and Council to order and respect the agreement reached with the state government on the landed property.

They said that the action of Ojora Royal family and council is having negative effects on their businesses and other activities in the area, appealing for quick intervention aimed at putting their threat to rest as many of their employees are beginning to scare of the dire consequences.

This is coming about eleven years after Lagos State Government has settled the matter amicably with the family.

An investigation revealed that in October 28th 2013, Lagos State Government through the Permanent Secretary Lands Breau. In a letter, warned the Ojora
Royal family and Council against embarrassing, harassing and intimidating the allottee and property owners. The letter warning them to adhere strictly to the agreement signed with them on the land.
The public notice was signed by the immediate past Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola when he was Permanent Secretary Lands Bureau.

In the agreement, Lagos State Government paid a sum of three billion Naira to the Ojora Royal family

The letter advised the allottees and leasers from entering any financial arrangements with the family or agents as any threat should be reported to the agency.
