CP HAYATU USMAN VISIT GOMBE STATE CHIEF JUDGE, JUSTICE HALIMA SHAMAKI.

The Commissioner Of Police Gombe State Command CP Hayatu Usman Psc in company of Deputy Commissioner of Police Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) DCP Sani Omolori, Oc SFI, Oc legal and other senior officers visits Gombe State Chief Judge On a Familiarization Tour.

 

 

During the Visit CP Hayatu Usman Psc discussed various issues with the Chief Judge on prosecusion of cases and other challenges faced by the police in carrying out their duties effectively.

He expressed the need for cooperation and support from the judiciary in order to enhance the criminal justice system in the state.

 

The Commissioner of Police also pledged to collaborate with the judiciary in the training and capacity building of police officers on investigative techniques, evidence gathering, case presentation and adherence to the rule of law in the fight against crime.

 

In her response, Justice Halima Shamaki acknowledged the crucial role of the police in maintaining law and order in the society. She assured the Commissioner of Police that the judiciary would do its best to support the police in the discharge of their duties. She stated that cases brought before the courts would be treated with utmost urgency and fairness.

 

Justice Halima Shamaki also expressed her commitment to collaborating with the police in the fight against crime. She mentioned the need for synergy between the judiciary and law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe and secure environment for the residents of Gombe state.

 

The visit by CP Hayatu to the office of the Chief Judge of Gombe is a demonstration of the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to building strong partnerships with the judiciary in the fight against crime which also highlights the importance of collaboration between law enforcement agencies and the judiciary in the pursuit of justice and the maintenance of law and order.

 

Both the Commissioner of Police and the Chief Judge expressed their determination to work together towards a safer and more secure Gombe state.

The visit ended on a positive note, with both parties expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to discuss matters of common interest and forge stronger ties between the police and the judiciary in Gombe state.
