Lagos Transport Leader, MC Oluomo, Sworn In as National President of NURTW Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, widely known as MC Oluomo, has officially been inaugurated as the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). The swearing-in ceremony took place at the union’s national secretariat in Abuja, marking a significant milestone in his career as a transport union leader. MC Oluomo’s Rise to National Leadership MC Oluomo’s appointment came as a result of a consensus decision during the Quadrennial Delegate Conference held at the NURTW Zonal Secretariat in Osogbo, Osun State. Representatives from four Southwest states—Lagos, Ogun, Ekiti, and Ondo—participated in the conference, which zoned the position of National President to the region. Key Appointments in the New Leadership Team The swearing-in ceremony was conducted by the union’s Legal Officer, Mercy Ibeh. Alongside Akinsanya, Alhaji Tajudeen Agbede was sworn in as the Vice President for the Southwest zone, while Akeem Adeosun was appointed as a Trustee of the union. These appointments signify a new leadership structure aimed at enhancing the union’s operations across the country.
