More Nigerians Win Elections In The USA, NIDCOM Congratulates Them

 

 

Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has celebrated three more Nigerians who won their respective re-election into various districts in the United States of America.

 

They are Reps Gabe Okoye representing Georgia District 102, Phil Olaleye Representing 59th District of the Georgia and Solomon Adesanya, a Democrat, representing 43rd District in Georgia House of Representatives.

 

Dabiri-Erewa in the congratulatory message issued by the Director of Media and Public Relations of the Commission, Abdur-Rahman Balogun described the trio as worthy ambassadors of Nigeria.

 

The NIDCOM boss said the re-election victory was not accidental but proven track records of their performances in office to their respective constituents earned them the victory.

 

Gabe Okoye is an Enugu- born Nigerian–American Civil Engineer who on November 8, 2022, became a legislator elect at the 2022 US midterm elections representing Georgia State and he took office on January 9, 2023 and got re-elected in the Nov. 5, 2024 election.

 

On the other hand, the 39 year old Solomon Adesanya is an American businessman and a politician. He was elected on November 8, 2022, in the 2022 US midterm elections and won the re-election to the Georgia House of Representatives covering the 43rd District mainly Marietta and a small part of Northwest Atlanta. Adesanya won the seat in a district historically held by a Republican on Nov. 5, 2024.

 

The Harvard trained Phil Olaleye, is a United States politician and the former executive director of a non-profit educational foundation.

He was elected Nov. 8, 2022 as a

Member of the Georgia House of Representatives

from the 59th district

and assumed office

January 9, 2023 before his re election on Nov. 5, 2024 as a legislator representing Georgia House of Representatives District 59 under the Democratic Party.
