It was a moment of joy as top dignitaries, family, friends and well wishers gathered to celebrate the late Chief Okanlawon Adegboyega Soboyede as he was finally laid to rest.

 

The glamorous event which was planned by the late Chief Soboyede’ children and committee of friends was a huge success.

 

The event which attracted the creme de la creme of the society was full of glitz and glamour.

 

Mrs. Omowunmi Ayanda Nee Soboyede, who spoke exclusively with African Times Magazine UK online (www.africantimesmagazine.com) and Actem News Africa (www.actemnewsafrica.com) that packaged the burial event to the media;

appreciated everyone who made the occasion a success. She emphasized the good attributes of late Chief Okanlawon Adegboyega Soboyede who died at a ripe age of 93, African Times Magazine can reliably report.

The funeral service was held at the All Saints Anglican Church, Montgomery road, Yaba on Friday 10th January, 2025 at 10am. It was officiated under HIs Lordship Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. B.C. Akinpelu Johnson; Vicar & Archdeacon of Yaba, Ven. Jimi Ebiesuwa, Pariah priests such as Rev. Tunde Ogungbe, Rev. Canon Sebastine Ejiofor, Rev. Canon Emmanuel Chibueze, Ven. Omotayo Akinboboye among others.

 

 

 

The colorful reception which followed afterwards was held at the prestigious event center, The Monarch, Lagos Island with so much pomp and pageantry.

Distinguished politicians, business gurus, top civil servants all attended the funeral service.
