CP Salman Dogo Garba Meets Operational Commanders, Charts Course for Enhanced Security and Policing in Kano State

 

 

 

 

On 6th February, 2025, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Salman Dogo Garba, met with Operational Commanders of the Command to discuss strategies for enhancing security and policing in Kano State. The meeting, which is in line with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, held on February 6, 2025, centered on key issues affecting the state’s security landscape.

– *Intelligence-Led Visibility Patrols:* The need for continuous intelligence-led visibility patrols to prevent and respond to crimes effectively.

– *Synergy with Sister Security Agencies:* The importance of collaboration with sister security agencies to ensure a unified response to security threats.

– *Continuous Community Policing Stakeholders Engagements:* Strategies for engaging community policing stakeholders to foster trust and partnership between the police and the community.

– *Professionalism and Adherence to Rule of Law:* The need for professionalism, adherence to the rule of law, and respect for human rights in all policing operations.

– *Dedication and Commitment to Duty:* The importance of dedication and commitment to duty among police personnel to ensure effective service delivery.

 

3. CP Dogo emphasized the Command’s commitment to ensuring the security and safety of all residents and visitors to Kano State. He assured that the Command will continue to work tirelessly to prevent and respond to all forms of crime and criminality.

 

4. The Commissioner of Police appealed to the public to continue to support the Police in its efforts to maintain law and order. He encouraged citizens to report any suspicious activities or crimes to the nearest police station or through the Command’s designated complaint channels.
